Oh my goodness, I can't believe that it's my last week of Body Beast?
Can my 90 days be up already? I've honestly loved every day of this program!
Ladies, I know sometimes we are afraid of weight training but I loved, loved, loved this program. Our bodies are not going to bulk up, instead we will gain strength, muscle tone and definition.
Guys, if you are ready to add some muscle mass this program is definiately for you.

Well an injury has ChaLEAN Extreme going back on the shelf :( Been trying to 'baby' my heel for the past few weeks but it's time to just let it rest. Fortunately my husband has just gotten BODY BEAST from Beachbody. I'm just reading through the book now and am super excited to get this one started. I'm taking my time reading the book and getting organized to do this one right. I'll be posting much more info about it soon :)

So Day 1 is in the books...and 'slow' lifting is really going to be something new. It will take some adjustments to find the correct weights but I'll get there. Today was a rest day...threw in some P90X anyway...but I'm super excited for tomorrow. Check out my video to see my thoughts on Day 1.
Okay Day 1 is in the books and WOW I can't lift much weight when doing a 'slow count'. The change is good but will take some getting used to...VERY different that what I've been doing. I'm excited for the rest of my 90 days...concentrating so hard on form and technique will help me so much. Check out my YouTube video of my thoughts on Day 1!

Well after being so excited to start my ChaLEAN Extreme program the day was FINALLY here...'FIT TEST' day. I just knew after finishing my last round of P90X this Fit Test would be a breeze and I'd come through with flying colors. Boy was I wrong!!!
Now if you don't know what a Fit Test is here's a quick explanation. Every Fitness Program from Beachbody includes what is known as a Fit Test for you to do before you begin a program. It is used as a sort of 'measuring stick' to be sure you meet the basic physical requirements for the program along with giving you numbers to refer back to as you get further on in your program. It's definitely exciting to see how those numbers will improve after 30, 60 and 90 days of working-out.
So back to my results. This Fit Test included many of the usual...push-ups, crunches, squats, forearm plank, sit & reach...all of which I did fairly well at. HOWEVER then came the over-head press and bicep curl...sure I'll rock these. After all I'm a P90X grad I have better muscle tone than ever in my life, these slow 4 counts won't make much of a difference...WRONG! Who knew 5 lbs could feel so heavy.
